We publish several reports annually on a variety of topics and collaborate with universities on special research projects. We have collected data in schools since 1997. Our Researcher-in-Residence is generously funded by the Canadian Council on Learning and the Atkinson Foundation.

People for Education is an independent parents' group working to suport public education in Ontario's English, French and Catholic schools.

Since 1997, we have been surveying elementary schools across Ontario to track the effects of changes in funding and policy on our schools and education system.

Our annual school survey asks parents and principals to count things like class sizes, portables, parent fundraising, computers, educational assistants, and gym teachers. In 2000 we began tracking changes in secondary schools as well.
