 2006 Conference

On November 4, 2006 almost 200 parents, teachers, school trustees and board staff, and the Minister of Education, came from across the province to People for Education’s tenth annual conference at York University.

Attendees listened to timely and interesting discussions about education issues. And they participated in practical workshops – on topics such as working with principals or how to acquire the new parent involvement funds – that produced useful strategies and helpful tips.

The conference also provided an opportunity to make contact with other parents sharing similar concerns.

Special thanks to the Ministry of Education for providing grants to subsidize travel and accomodation costs to help many parents attend.
