People for Education is an independent parent-led organization, working to improve public education in Ontario's English, Catholic and French schools.
Since 1997, we have been surveying elementary schools across Ontario to track the effects of changes in funding and policy on our education system. Our survey asks parents to count things like class sizes, portables, parent fundraising, computers, educational assistants, and gym teachers. In 2000 we began tracking changes in secondary schools as well.
